The "Tale" of a Dog and an Officer (Get It!?)

In an unexpected twist, this dog--later named Mr. McScrufferson--went on to become Chief of Police in Plattsburgh. Chief McScrufferson unfortunately ended up firing Officer Shepherd over a seemingly innocent tummy scratching misunderstanding. Officer Shepherd sued Chief McScrufferson for unfair dismissal and won, bankrupting the dog and sending him wandering aimlessly through Plattsburgh. In a drunken fit, McScrufferson got himself caught in a fence and was discovered for the second time by Officer Shepherd, who instantly remembered the good times the two had shared. He freed McScrufferson from the fence and the two reunited, leaving all ill will behind.

Now, if you think that the video above is heartwarming, you should really see the second one! [Digg]

Electron Boy Saves Seattle

The entire city of Seattle, including the beloved Seattle Sounders soccer team, came to the aid of the superhero who would soon come to theirs.

For one day, Erik Martin, a 13-year-old boy suffering from kidney cancer, became Electron Boy thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the cooperation of hundreds of goodhearted individuals. Over the course of the day, Electron Boy rescued the Seattle Sounders and conquered the bad guys in the shadow of the Space Needle. I'd say more about how unbelievably awesome this is but the video says it much better than I could. Enjoy! [io9]

Battle of the ultra cute: Voltron vs. Link

Media_httpimgurcom89l_jtmas

About one month ago, Link Girl hit the Reddit forums (fora?) and caused an unimaginable groundswell of cuteness and "awww!"s. Yesterday, she may have met her match. Voltron Girl, fresh, no doubt, from slaying a robeast with her adorably intimidating glare, showed up and drew immediate comparisons to Link Girl. Now there are two and, if the movie Highlander is to be believed (and it should be), there can be only one.

What do you think? Which cute-girl-in-80s-video-game/cartoon-costume meme reigns supreme?
